Tomlinson to Host Children’s Expo on April 16th at Council Rock High School South

(Harrisburg, PA) – State Senator Tommy Tomlinson (R-Bucks) is inviting area residents to take part in his annual Children’s Expo, which will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Council Rock High School South in Holland.

This free event is intended to educate and entertain children of all ages and their families.  More than 50 vendors will be on hand to provide information on programs, services, events, and opportunities available throughout Bucks County and Pennsylvania.

Among those scheduled to appear are Trenton Thunder’s mascot “Boomer,”  McGruff the Crime Dog, Kid’s Fitness Program, Magic Show, The Franklin Institute Traveling Science Show, PA State Police Helicopter, Bucks County Sheriff’s Child ID Program (fingerprinting, weight, height),  and SEPTA’s K-9 Unit.

“The annual Children’s Expo is a fun day for children and a great way for parents to learn more about programs that are available to benefit their families,” Tomlinson said. “I hope that many of my constituents will join us for an educational and entertaining day.”
