Tomlinson: Local Distinguished Military Personnel Eligible To Be Honored in Memorial at Soldiers & Sailors Museum

Military personnel, both living or passed, who have served the nation with distinction, may be eligible to have their name included in a memorial at the Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall and Military Museum in Pittsburgh, according to Senator Tommy Tomlinson (R-Bucks).

Tomlinson said the museum includes the Joseph A. Dugan Hall of Valor, to honor those men and women who have served their country and showed the highest standard of combat veterans.

To qualify, one must have significant contacts with Pennsylvania and have received one of the seven medals (Medal of Honor, Distinguished Service Cross, Distinguished Flying Cross, Distinguished Navy Cross, Silver Star, Air Force Cross or Soldiers Medal).

“I encourage constituents in my district who think they may qualify to submit their name, or the names of loved ones who have passed away,” Tomlinson said.  “The museum wants to honor those brave men and women who have served and continue to serve our country.   This is a wonderful way to not only celebrate their service but to keep their memory alive.”
