Senator Tommy Tomlinson (R-Bucks) will hold a Senior Expo from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, September 23, 2010, at King’s Caterers located at 4010 New Falls Road in Bristol.
More than 70 exhibitors will provide information on programs and services available to Pennsylvania’s older residents at the free event.
Tomlinson said the Senior Expo is designed to provide seniors with a “one-stop resource” for information on a wide range of services available to them – many of which are free of charge or at a reduced cost. Exhibitors from local, county and state agencies will be on hand to talk about various programs and services.
Booths will be set up to provide seniors with information on Social Security, health care, AARP, and a wide variety of other programs and services that are available to them.
A free light lunch will be served, and those attending can take part in health screenings at no cost. Door prizes will also be awarded.
“The Senior Expo has always been a popular event and a great way for seniors to learn more about the many programs and services that are available to them,” Tomlinson said. “I look forward to this fun and informative day, and I urge seniors and their families to take part in this year’s event.”
