Veteran Center to Open in Lower Bucks Later this Month 

In the coming weeks a new Bucks County Veteran Center will offer community based services to military families, said Senator Robert M. "Tommy" Tomlinson.  The services will include bereavement, sexual assault counseling, and substance abuse counseling to local military veterans and their families.  

"It is critical that we provide the services that veterans and their families need when they return home to Bucks County from overseas," said Senator Tomlinson. "The Veteran Center is a necessity due to the many men and women from Lower Bucks County who serve our nation."  The center will be located at 418 Mill Street, at the Canal's End office complex in Bristol Township.  

Veteran's officials state that while the headquarters will be located in Lower Bucks, there are also plans to offer outreach counseling services in the central and upper parts of Bucks County.  The center is designed to revolve around the community's needs and plans to be open two nights a week.
