Sen. Tomlinson Announces 2010-11 PHEAA Student Aid Guide is Now Available

Harrisburg - Senator Tommy Tomlinson (R-Bucks) is urging students and parents in his district who are considering higher education next year to pick up the PHEAA 2010-11 Student Aid Guide.

The Student Aid Guide is Pennsylvania's most comprehensive financial aid planning publication and is available at no cost. The guide includes information on eligibility guidelines, ways to identify financial need, and funding sources. "I recommend that high school students who are considering attending higher education next year begin researching financial aid options early, so that they can make financial decisions that will be in their best interest," said Tomlinson.

"Grant programs, scholarships, and financial planning options are listed in the guide and are essential to providing students and families with the assistance they need in order to fund their college education," Tomlinson said.  "With higher education costs rising, financial aid can make the difference to help students attend the college or university that they choose."

The Student Aid Guide is available online at www.pheaa.org or can be picked up at Senator Tomlinson's local district office.
