Tomlinson Announces Recreation and Conservation Grant For Bucks County

HARRISBURG – Langhorne Borough will receive a $150,000 grant from the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources as part of the Community Conservation Partnerships Program, according to Sen. Tommy Tomlinson (R-Bucks).

The grant will be used to acquire approximately 5.6 acres along West Watson St. for habitat protection and Catawissa Creek headwaters. Funding will come from the Keystone Recreation, Park and Conservation Fund or the Growing Greener Bond Fund.

"Proper watershed and land management is vital in our area to better protect the environment," Tomlinson said. "I am very pleased that this grant will protect one of our area's critical plant and animal habitats."
