Small Business Advantage Grants Assist Bucks County Business

HARRISBURG – Two area businesses will receive grants as part of the state's Small Business Advantage Grant Program, according to Sen. Tommy Tomlinson (R-Bucks).

The Small Business Advantage Grant program provides 50 percent matching grants to businesses to reduce energy consumption and increase profitability. The program is administered by the state Department of Environmental Protection.

Tomlinson said that West Mill Clothes, Inc. will receive a $7,500 grant to purchase and install upgraded dry-cleaning equipment to reduce hazardous waste, while Foranne Manufacturing will receive a $5,500 to purchase and install a high efficiency oil furnace.

"This grant program helps protect our environment while reducing energy use," Tomlinson said. "I am pleased that this funding will help promote a healthier economy and environment in our communities."
