State Grants Support Environmental Education in Bucks CountyHARRISBURG – Grants from the Department of Environmental Protection will fund two Bucks County environmental education projects, according to Sen. Tommy Tomlinson (R-Bucks). A $20,000 grant will be used to provide a watershed and wetland education program for 4th and 5th graders, and a $4,500 grant will fund four workshops to plan an implement the PA Academic Standards for Environment and Ecology in the Bristol Borough School District. "One of the best ways that we can protect our vital natural resources is through environmental education," Tomlinson said.
