Tomlinson Takes Part in Educational Software Donation

HARRISBURG -- Sen. Tommy Tomlinson (R-Bucks) participated in a ceremony today to acknowledge the donation of an Advanced Virtual Reality Program computer system, by Commerce Bank, to the Bucks County Technical High School. The program is in conjunction with the S.O.A.R. (Summer Opportunities Are Real) program, being held at the school.

The Advanced Virtual Reality Program, developed by VTREE, Inc. in Bensalem, will teach physically and developmentally challenged children by promoting life skills. The computer program simulates real-life situations resulting in improvements to motor skills such as balance and coordination.

"This community and their special children are very grateful to Commerce Bank for their generosity", Tomlinson said. "In addition, we can very proud that we will use this software developed by a Bucks County company to help children right here in our communities."

Tomlinson was joined by Commerce Bank representatives Regional Vice President Donald Colligan, Retail Market Manager Kathy Geissel, Woodhaven Bank Manager Terry Grumbrecht and VTREE, Inc. President Chuck Bergen, who developed the program.
